Catherine can help you bring your outdoor space to life. 


Catherine can provide face to face gardening advice through a garden consultation, bespoke border design and planting services  and garden skills sessions in the North Somerset area. If you live outside this area and would like some ideas on what to plants in different areas of your garden, in a number of styles, please look at the Downloadable Border Designs . These contain a list of plants for each location and style, including a planting plan, sketch of the border and links to more details on each plant.


Committed to Sustainable Gardening

 

Inspiring Gardens are committed to using sustainable gardening methods. Catherine only use peat free compost when growing plants and alongside planting in your garden. Catherine knows which plants are best for different types of pollinators such as bees, butterflies or moths and can make recommendations to suit your garden requirements. The horticulture industry is working towards removing plastic as much as it can, but currently its not always possible - particularly with bagged compost and bottles of plant food. .

She can help you identify the plants you have, what they need to grow well and bring them to life. She can also suggest more plants, and ideas for beds, borders and containers which will make your space even more beautiful, useful and a great place to be in.

Affordable & Achievable

Catherine's consultations will start with the plants you have already, there's no need to dig everything up and plant more. You may have lovely plants which just need a bit of care and feeding to look their best. Of course working with what you have saves money on buying new plants.
  
This approach is affordable and achievable, without the need for expensive, large scale landscaping. Some well chosen plants, knowledgeably planted, advice on caring for them, as well as some patience, will provide a beautiful space you can enjoy.

Border Design & Plans

If you have a space in your garden which needs some new planting ideas, Catherine can provide two options for ideas to fill it.

 Catherine has designed a number of 1m x 1m and 3m x 1m planting plans covering a range of garden styles or that would suit specific areas of the garden such as sunny or shady.  These downloadable plans include a list of suitable plants which complement each other and links to care instructions.
For designs specifically for your own garden borders in North Somerset, Catherine can create bespoke planting plans.
